Matthew Ball’s Metaverse Book
Matthew Ball, the author of the best (in my opinion) blog posts on “what is the Metaverse” and making sense of the corporate/marketing speak regarding the Metaverse, published his book. I will post a review soon but here is the link to Matthew’s own site regarding his book.
Matthew’s book is definitively a must read for anyone interested. As a teaser, here is his definition (he does explain carefully what he means, of course): “A massively scaled and interoperable network of real-time rendered 3D virtual worlds that can be experienced synchronously and persistently by an effectively unlimited number of users with an individual sense of presence, and with continuity of data, such as identity, history, entitlements, objects, communications, and payments”.
